Description

Our Professional Dry Van Drivers drive tractor-trailers to pick up and deliver products along set, over-the-road routes in the eastern US. We haul live load/unload with some drop and hook; all loads are non-hazardous. General CDL A experience is required. Our home base is Chester, ME, but our drivers reside along our driving routes. Overnights will be required. Pay is based on mileage. Weekly pay is controlled by the driver's efficiency and motivation to control their own paycheck. Full Treeline benefits apply!
Requirements:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to independently problem solve and adapt quickly when circumstances and plans change or when something goes wrong.
• Ability to use smartphone, gps and/or maps, or tablets on a daily basis for navigation
• Ability to use smartphone or tablet to log, record, and communicate daily records
• Ability to plan ahead, request parts needed in the near future and assist with scheduling conflicts.
• Ability to pass Federal DOT drug screen and physical.
• Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations and meet company requirements.
• Ability to take orders, instructions, and guidance from management and supervisors.
• Ability to deal with other employees in a diplomatic manner in a variety of stressful situations.

Education, Certificates:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Valid DOT Health Card.
• Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier and Company requirements.

Physical Demands:

• Approximately 75% of the workday is spent driving.
• Ability to climb stairs at loading and unloading facilities.
• Ability to maintain safe and efficient control of the vehicle at all times.
• Reach at or above shoulder height frequently.
• Demonstrate visual and auditory acuity in order to safely operate the vehicle.
• Minimal color discrimination and depth perception.
• Exposure to periodic moderate to fairly loud noise, below 85db.
• Climbing in and out of the vehicle and on and off the trailer and loads frequently.
• The ability to work in all weather conditions.
• The ability to work in all temperatures.
• Wearing OSHA required PPE.
